Classic Dry Flies

Who doesn't love a classic? Carl originally made a name for himself tying classic dry flies. He really hooked everyone with his fly tying skills. Some of his favorite patterns are the Adams Irresistible, Goddard Caddis and Humpy.

Atlantic Salmon Flies

Carl tied commercially for a number of fly shops in the Eastern United States. His flies were a real catch for Atlantic salmon in that area. His Bombers and Buck Bugs are well known. Someone at a fly tying class Carl was demonstrating at once said "Not even an anvil can take it down," describing his Bombers.

Other Patterns

We might love the classics, but that doesn't stop us from tying outside the box. Carl prides himself on learning new techniques and patterns.
